Rowan TreeLoch Alvie, by Aviemore
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Originally called The Lynwilg Mail and one of the oldest Inns in the Spey valley - was built in the 1700’s as a coaching inn alongside the Great North Road.
Extended in the mid-1800’s, and renamed Rowan Tree in the early 90's, parts of the hotel have served as the village store, post office and pub. Although its reputation today is more of a restaurant and hotel, you can still get a drink at the bar as a non resident.
