Orkney Brewery

The Orkney Brewery is located in the former schoolhouse in Quoyloo near Skara Brae. It brews a range of multi-award winning ales of which the most iconic are Dark Island and Skullsplitter. It boasts a visitor centre and conducts public tours. It is owned by Sinclair Breweries, which is now the holding company for both the Orkney and the Atlas range of beers.

Swannay Brewery

Formerly Highland Brewing Company, now re-branded as the Swannay Brewery. Rob Hill's brewery is in a former dairy on Orkney and has both a small and a large brew plant and brews a wide range of multi-award winning real ales, including Champion Beer of Scotland on four occasions! Most famous beer is possibly Scapa Special, but others include Island Hopping, Orkney Best and Orkney Blast.

Rothes Brewery

Small brewery in a garage close to the Seafield Arms in Rothes. Now doing cask and is available in outlets in the area.

Speyside Craft Brewery

Seb Jones started this micro brewery in Forres, Moray in 2013 and makes beer using the same water that goes into some of Scotland's finest single malt whiskies.

Windswept Brewing Co.

A modern craft brewery on the shores of Moray Firth in Lossiemouth. Brewing started in late 2012, and less than a year later Windswept Brewing Co Ltd were awarded Gold Medals for APA and Wolf as the Best Strong Bitter and Best Premium Strong Beers in Scotland by the Society of Independent Brewers. The beers are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Windswept was named the best new brewery in Scotland 2013 by RateBeer.
