See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
The Chlachain Inn (meaning "stone house" in Gàidhlig) was built around 1900. The premises were extensively refurbished in 2004 and again in 2013. The single bar is open plan with different areas to satisfy all. Cosy chairs by the open fire, booth seating and tables and chairs - you can also sit at the bar, or prop it up! An excellent selection of freshly prepared food is available every day; outside a sign reads 'We welcome children, well behaved dogs, muddy boots and backpacks'. There is plenty to do locally. Leave the car and take the steam train! Quiz night Thursday. Many thanks to Stewart Pinching of CAMRA Swansea for the lead picture. [Update 10 Oct 2024: One real ale on, a house brew named 'Chlachain Golden Ale', brewed incognito in Edinburgh.]
