Plockton Hotel41 Harbour Street
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Sheltered by mountains and fanned by the warm air off the Gulf Stream, the Hotel is at the edge of Loch Carron and boasts breathtaking views across the bay. The village itself has much to offer and is a regular haunt for outdoor enthusiasts.
Seafood is the speciality on an excellent menu that also features locally-reared beef and Highland venison.
The 5 hand pumps (3 in the lounge, 2 in the bar) feature ever-changing beers from Scottish micros, usually including various brews from the 'Highland Brewing Company's' Swannay Brewery (Orkney), 'The Cromarty Brewing Company' and 'Fyne Ales'. Their occasional 'Plockton Ale' is a house ale produced for the hotel by Inveralmond Brewery in Perth, not the nearby Plockton Brewery.
Beers are available as tasting platters of 3 thirds of a pint and in 2 pint carry-outs.
Closes for the first two weeks of January.
