Eric and his wife Suzi took over at the end of February and have put their mark on the place stating intent to make the Eagle better than ever!
Other than smartening up the nine bedrooms, the food is all freshly prepared, and cooked to order.
On the real ale front, Eric is passionate about his real ales!
Although only two hand pumps, one has to be something from the Punch stable, such as the ever popular Flying Scotsman, the other "off list" including Cromarty Happy Chappy or Orkney's Red MacGregor.
The stone built Grade II listed building was constructed around 1850 and comes complete with all the little quirks one might expect from such an old coaching house and is proud to be Dornochs first and only Bar with Rooms.
Two handpumps feature ales from Scottish and English breweries from the Punch stable, and do not be put off that the pump clips face into the bar! The ales are on, it just saves customers walking around the bar to see the offering. Very tasty food, cooked to order and at reasonable prices is served using local produce where possible.
