See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Dornie Hotel occupies one of the most scenic locations in the whole of the Highlands & Western Isles branch area. The centre of the old fishing village is dominated by the impressive Eilean Donan Castle, which is seen by many as the iconic image of the Scottish Highlands. If castles are your thing, then Dunvegan on Skye and Urquhart on Loch Ness are within easy reach via the A87, but there is plenty more to explore within an easy drive. Offering an interesting menu to suit all tastes, naturally locally-caught seafood is featured. You can get to the pub by train to Kyle of Lochalsh (8 miles away) and onward by bus. [Update 19 Sept 2024: bar reported to stock the full range of Applecross beers, some of which are available in the bar next door. No ale update, but single hand pump, presumably previously dispensing Skye, reported not in use.]
