See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Allangrange Arms has a hunting lodge feel with the occasional stags head adorning the painted rough sawn wood interior. The bar offeres two Cromarty ales, although only one, Happy Chappy, may be available at quieter times of the year. The flowing bar area has a mix of cosy booths, both stooled and tabled seating and a TV area with a comfy sofa. There is also a quieter restaurant area. The menu has a good selection of quality food including vegetarian options. On request, gluten free and other food intolerance can be accommodated for most dishes on the menu - just ask! "Local" is very much on the menu, with game from the owner's estate. A pork dish cooked with Cromarty ale is a highlight. The burgers will not disappoint and will satisfy the hungriest appetite! A sandwich and children’s menu are also available. Open for coffee & breakfast (eat in / take-away) from 7 to 11, with food normally available, throughout the day until 9pm sometimes later, and if you do not fancy the "pub" environment, the quiet breakfast room offers tea and light snacks throughout the day until 5. Also regular evening events including poker (Mon), darts (Thurs) live music (Fri), and a "ladies night". Very popular with locals, and visitors to the area who can visit the local attractions such as dolphin watching at Chanonry Point, the Black Isle Wildlife Park, Wildwoodz Paintball centre or walks at Ord Hill and other Forestry Commission woodland. Well behaved dogs are welcome inside, but should be kept close to the bar. (Note:- On Mondays. October-April, the bar opens at 16:45, and the kitchens are closed all day. But over the festive period, open until 02:00 on some nights) Closed for one week, 3rd week in February (week following Valentine's Day) for annual maintenance. [Update 9th June 2023: Report of no real ale, only Cromarty Happy Chappy on keg.]
